Have your say: Victims’ Survey 2026 now open

The Victims’ Commissioner for England and Wales, Claire Waxman OBE, has launched the Victims’ Survey 2026. This is a chance for people across the country to share their experiences and help improve support for victims in the future.

Why this survey matters

The Victims’ Survey is the only national, independent survey that gathers feedback directly from victims of crime. It looks at all types of crime and every stage of the justice process.

By taking part, you can help highlight:

  • what is working well
  • where things could be better
  • what changes are needed to support victims more effectively

The findings are used by the Commissioner to make recommendations and push for improvements in how victims are treated and supported.

Who can take part?

You can complete the survey if:

  • you are aged 16 or over
  • you have experienced or reported a crime since January 2021

It is completely anonymous and takes around 15 minutes to complete.

When is it open?

The survey is open from 8 April to 6 May 2026, so there’s a limited time to take part.
