Safer Communities recognise that privacy is very important and we take it seriously.
This Privacy Notice describes how Safer Communities collects, uses, discloses and shares personal information or personal data. It sets out what Safer Communities will do with personal information and the arrangements they will make to keep it private and safe. It also explains rights, for example, how a copy of the information SITV holds can be obtained.
Graham Strange, Director of Operations is the Safer Communities Data Controller in respect of personal information collected through any involvement with Safer Communities, whether as an employee, a customer, service provider or service user/client. This Privacy Notice therefore applies to all activities delivered through Safer Communities.

How We Share Your Information
Safer Communities will not share any personal information without explicit and informed consent of the individual concerned. The exception to this rule is in respect of safeguarding where Safer Communities are obliged to inform other agencies due to risks that: –
Some Safer Communities services are delivered in direct Partnership with another organisation. We will only share personal information with a partner service where there is a legitimate interest to do so and only at the time of providing initial support to ensure the appropriate care is provided.
We may share anonymised aggregate data or de-identified information with service commissioners and other partner agencies.

The security of your information is important to us. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information.

We will retain and use your personal information only when necessary for a period up to 7 years from the date your support from the service was completed. This is to provide appropriate care and support, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and to maintain appropriate business records.
